Description
We are seeking faithful and dependable Substitute Teachers who can support our faculty in grades Pre-K through 8th by providing instructional coverage when teachers are absent. Ideal candidates are flexible, attentive to detail, and committed to upholding the school’s Catholic mission and classroom culture.

Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver prepared lesson plans left by the regular teacher in accordance with school procedures.
- Maintain a respectful, orderly, and joyful learning environment in keeping with the school’s Catholic identity and classical values.
- Provide supervision and guidance to students during class time, transitions, recess, or lunch (as needed).
- Take attendance, manage classroom behavior, and ensure students remain on task.
- Communicate any significant behavior or academic concerns to the appropriate administrator.
- Integrate brief moments of prayer and virtue reinforcement in the classroom routine when appropriate.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including classroom safety protocols and emergency plans.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience working with children in a school, camp, or church setting.
- Practicing Christian (Catholic preferred) who is supportive of the school’s mission.
- Professional, punctual, and able to follow directions closely.
- Ability to maintain classroom order with kindness, clarity, and composure.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or teaching background (in education or subject-specific areas).
- Familiarity with classical education or willingness to be trained in the school’s approach.
- Active parish involvement and strong moral character.

Physical Demands
This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), and the ability to supervise children both indoors and outdoors.
