Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. This role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing tailored lesson plans, and utilizing various teaching strategies to support students' academic and social growth.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement      individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique      needs. 
  • Create engaging lesson plans that      accommodate different learning styles and abilities. 
  • Utilize effective classroom      management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment. 
  • Collaborate with parents,      teachers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students. 
  • Conduct assessments and      standardized testing to monitor student progress. 
  • Provide instruction in literacy,      math, and other subjects while integrating learning technology as      appropriate. 
  • Implement behavior management      strategies and behavioral therapy techniques to support students'      emotional well-being. 
  • Engage in early intervention      strategies for young learners 
  • Maintain accurate records of      student progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Special      Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. 
  • Experience working with children      in special education settings, including knowledge of IEP development and      implementation. 
  • Familiarity with classroom      management, curriculum development, and lesson planning specific to      special education. 
  • Background in elementary and      secondary education. 
  • Strong communication skills and      the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people. 
  • Experience with behavioral health      practices and childhood development. 


Requirements
  • Valid State Certification in Special Education (appropriate grade level and subject area).
     
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Salary Description
65,000 - 80,000
