I - Job Purpose and Summary:

  

The Commercial Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, strengthen customer relationships, and position our texture solutions as the preferred choice in the nutrition bars and healthy / better-for-you snacks market. This role also bridges product development and commercial functions, ensuring alignment between product positioning, customer needs, and business objectives. 


This role combines commercial planning, market analysis, and execution of marketing initiatives to strengthen PGP’s presence and support sales objectives in our markets.


This role will work hand in hand with VP Commercial to make sure our sales team is well equipped and prepared to create, capture and communicate our value in the market. 


This role will also be responsible for trade show activities, product launches, digital marketing and advertising placement and spending. 


They will also collaborate with marketing teams of our sister and parent company to create best value for all.  


II - Key Accountabilities:

Product and Solutions Marketing

a. Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business goals. 

b. Conduct market research and collaborate with ABFI companies to identify trends in the food and beverage market, nutrition bar and better for you snack customer needs, and competitive positioning. 

c. Support pricing strategies and profitability analysis.

d. Be a part of new product development process and make sure customer inputs are front, and center and sales team is prepared to discuss with the customers the new developments 

e. Facilitate SKU rationalization initiatives for products identified that should be eliminated from the product portfolio. 

f. Work with sales team to develop new opportunities with existing products and previously developed products expanding into categories identified as targets. 

g. Provide business direction on project teams involving product pipeline and new customer projects. 

h. Participate in strategy execution to define and strengthen product offerings. 

i. Work in collaboration with Sales leadership to drive extrusion and milling sales plan. 

f. Seek competitive insights & builds database of competitive intel for decision making in sales process. 

  

Commercial Support and Lead Management:

a. Partner with sales teams to create account-specific marketing plans.

b. Drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new product launches.

c. Grow, automate, and scale the way we engage with and convert leads to customers. 

Support Commercial team in creating, defining, and communicating PGP values relating to products and services for our customers.  

  

Branding and Communication

a. Coordinate and leverage ABFI Marketing function to develop marketing content, consumer, and customer insights. 

b. Responsible for PGP’s product line, marketing and brand strategy and margin improvement goals globally. 

c. Develop and establish brands for existing core products and promote the strength of the product line with a “New Brand Identity”. 

d. With the support of the ABFI Marketing function, coordinate and develop product marketing literature and presentation material. 

e. Responsible for trade show coordination and selection of product demos, literature, and promotion coordination with the ABFI marketing organization. 

- Create and maintain tools and materials that enable the sales team to effectively represent PGP’s offering to customers. 

- Monitor customer and competitor landscape. 

- Development and secure production of relevant marketing material.

- Coordination and communication of market information and key trends data specific to the industries in which PGP is active or potentially pursuing. 

New Product Introductions (Proactive)  


 Any other relevant strategic and commercial projects on ad-hoc basis as delegated by VP Commercial and rest of PGP’s SLT. 


Requirements

 Education:

- Required: 4-year Business, Food Science, or related Marketing Degree

- Preferred: MBA with marketing or strategy focus 

 

Related Experience:

- 7-10 years of commercial marketing/sales experience preferred in food and beverage or food manufacturing industry. 

- Experience in writing marketing strategy. 

- Marketing or project management experience

- Experience with digital marketing

Work Environment:  

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type and Working Schedule: RFT - Regular Full Time, working schedule based on business needs  


Travel Requirements: Occasional travelling to trade shows and customer visits
