Description


We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Assistant Fleet Manager to oversee personnel, safety, productivity, and budgeting for our maintenance operations across multiple recycling facilities. This role plays a key part in system transitions, equipment reliability, and team leadership. 


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead maintenance operations across sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Manage personnel schedules, training, and performance.
  • Support the transition between maintenance software systems.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance, inventory, and repair part availability.
  • Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Plant Managers to meet site and company goals.
  • Contribute to cost control, budgeting, and capital improvement planning.
  • Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Respond to operational emergencies when needed.
Requirements
  •  10+ years in maintenance leadership roles.
  • Proven experience with maintenance software transitions.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental, safety, and equipment management practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance-related software.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
  • Must be able to respond to on-site emergencies if needed.

Salary Description
$65,000-$70,000
