Description
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Assistant Fleet Manager to oversee personnel, safety, productivity, and budgeting for our maintenance operations across multiple recycling facilities. This role plays a key part in system transitions, equipment reliability, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead maintenance operations across sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Manage personnel schedules, training, and performance.
- Support the transition between maintenance software systems.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, inventory, and repair part availability.
- Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Plant Managers to meet site and company goals.
- Contribute to cost control, budgeting, and capital improvement planning.
- Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Respond to operational emergencies when needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years in maintenance leadership roles.
- Proven experience with maintenance software transitions.
- Strong knowledge of environmental, safety, and equipment management practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance-related software.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
- Must be able to respond to on-site emergencies if needed.
