About the Role

As TAFB’s Marketing Director, you will lead a talented team responsible for shaping the organization’s brand presence, storytelling, and public voice across 13 North Texas counties. You’ll oversee earned and paid media, crisis communications, strategic marketing, and creative messaging that moves communities to action.


Working closely with the VP of External Affairs, you’ll drive an innovative marketing strategy that elevates the mission to end hunger and strengthens TAFB’s reputation as a leading nonprofit in the region.


What You’ll Do

Lead With Vision & Influence

• Build, inspire, and coach a high-performing marketing team.

• Foster a culture of innovation, bold ideas, and continuous improvement.

Drive High-Impact Marketing Strategy

• Develop and execute TAFB’s marketing and communications strategy.

• Oversee all paid/earned media, digital marketing, and crisis communications.

• Ensure alignment with the Marketing Project Manager and Graphic Design Manager.

Elevate TAFB’s Brand Voice

• Create compelling messaging for press releases, media pitches, social content, newsletters, website content, reports, and multimedia.

• Manage media relations and maintain strong relationships with key outlets.

Strategic Partnership + Data-Driven Leadership

• Manage vendor partnerships and agency relationships for maximum ROI.

• Analyze marketing performance and guide optimization with data-driven insights.

Be the Organization’s Storyteller

• Represent TAFB at community events and serve as a brand ambassador.

• Provide thought leadership on emerging marketing trends and communication best practices.


? What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, or related field.

• 5+ years of marketing or communications leadership with proven results.

• Expertise in digital marketing, crisis communications, public/government relations, and campaign development.

• Strong ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive organizational messaging.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, website platforms, and modern marketing tools.

• Exceptional communication skills—writing, editing, storytelling, and media partnerships.

• Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred.
