Production Logistics Coordinator



Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the

production dock operations for both inbound material flow and outbound loading operations. This individual will be

responsible for ensuring inventory and process integrity as well as ensuring customer and organizational service levels

are being met.


Key Responsibilities


- Delegating task to staff members

- Identify items needed for production and shipments

- Ensure that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time

- Document and maintain Material Request logs

- Facilitate ease of outbound loading and inbound unloading by sequencing the dock schedule in alignment to the

production schedule and outbound service requirements

-  Retrieval of raw materials for production needs

- Retrieve and transport finished goods to and from the plant

- Works closely with plant operations, inventory, transportation and distribution teams

- Responsible for communicating with production personnel to make sure all production requirements are met

- Delegate tasks related to material movement to appropriate team members

- Research and troubleshoot inventory issues and perform adjustments

- Meet or exceed all service and efficiency standards for shipping and receiving

- Coordinate carrier asset moves with 3PL to ensure business needs are met

- Perform follow ups regarding shortages, damaged items and discrepancies with supervisor and other departments

- Work on special projects as directed

- Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiatives

Requirements


- High School Diploma

- Experience with manufacturing, warehouse and transportation operations

- Inventory experience is required

- Previous experience in manufacturing, inventory, transportation and/or warehouse operations


Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

- Knowledge of manufacturing scheduling/planning

- Must understand material related movement activities

- Knowledge of warehouse operations both clerical and direct

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Experience working with ERP systems

- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while performing with a high degree of accuracy

- Interpersonal skills to collaborate at various technical levels, with individuals in other business functions, and the

potential to function in a supervisory role

- Must possess strong planning, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills

- Ability and willingness to operate a Forklift machine as required. Training available

- Excellent verbal and written communication


Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant

- Occasionally be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

- Might require occasional travel domestically

- Occasional overtime will be necessary
