Summary: Maximize company’s jewelry profitability through grading, pricing, appraising and training
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Grade and price second-hand jewelry with accuracy and consistency.
• List and manage item content in listing software for multiple online platforms, ensuring accuracy in titles, descriptions, images, attributes, and pricing.
• Maintain, manage, and deliver accurate data across multiple marketplaces.
• Meet and exceed company productivity expectations.
• Perform detailed quality control checks on each jewelry piece prior to listing or sale.
• Accurately count, measure, and document diamonds and gemstones on each piece of jewelry.
• Analyze product mix by marketplace to identify opportunities for increased sales and profitability.
• Complete professional written appraisals in accordance with industry standards.
• Multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Provide training and education to store personnel on gemology, jewelry standards, and product knowledge.
• Maintain the highest levels of inventory control and security.
• Collaborate with leadership to support company initiatives and uphold quality and ethical standards.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Jewelry Director or Executive Management
Qualifications:
Formal Education and Experience Requirement:
- 2+ years of jewelry experience
- GIA Graduate Gemologist
Knowledge:
- Diamonds, colored stones and precious metals
- Fine jewelry second-hand market
- Jewelry repair
Physical Requirements:
- Stand or sit (stationary position) 80% of day

Lifting Requirements:
- Light Work: lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
