The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a CNC end mill using preset programs to produce components and finished products. This role focuses on safe machine operation, material handling, quality checks, and maintaining efficient production workflows. Training will be provided for candidates with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

• Operate CNC machines and shaper saws to produce components and finished products
• Load, secure, and unload raw materials and finished parts 
• Monitor machine operation to ensure proper function and product quality
• Perform basic setup tasks, tool checks, and routine adjustments as trained
• Inspect parts and equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper function 
• Maintain accurate production and worksheet logs
• Follow safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
• Assist with general shop duties and perform additional tasks as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery
• Ability to follow written instructions, work orders, and production schedules
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Manual dexterity and high accuracy in production
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents
• Computer proficiency and basic knowledge of CAD/CAM systems
• Willingness to learn CNC operations and shop processes (training provided)
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Must have sufficient strength, balance, and stamina to complete physical tasks
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry 30–50 pounds
• Capable of working in varying environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold)
