Description

The Directory Recruiter’s chief roles in designated Her Communities are to recruit every provider of the most crucial services for women to our directory and also to map the assets available in that community as well as identify what is not available.  The Directory Recruiter is also responsible for recruiting providers to be listed on the Her PLAN Directory map for the rest of the state.

 

Directory Recruiters will collaborate with their assigned State Coordinator to build a directory of life-affirming providers (professionals, non-profits, churches, and businesses) that provide direct services in support of moms and babies in a pre-determined Her Community as well in the state they are assigned. The goal in building a Her Community is to identify services that provide comprehensive medical, social, and material support needed to help a women experiencing and unplanned pregnancy to choose life.   

Requirements

Directory Recruiters support development of the Her Communities in their assigned state(s) as well as building out the statewide directory. This includes the 5 steps of directory development: 

  1. Review and research providers in the community to identify good candidates for our Her PLAN Directory. 
  2. Recruiter providers to enroll in the Her PLAN Directory by making phone calls and sending emails.  
  3. Communicate with service providers through phone calls and emails to gather information pertaining to their services, contact info, and any compliance forms needed for vetting. 
  4. Verify information and ensure accurate and complete entry into database systems.  
  5. Compose the directory listing from the information gathered.  

About Her PLAN

Her Pregnancy and Life Assistance Network (Her PLAN) is a project of the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Education Fund designed to identify and support organizations that assist pregnant or parenting women who may consider abortion due to lack of support or resources. The project works with assistance providers across seven categories of care to strengthen the safety net of support for women and families. The categories of care are:  

  1. Care Coordination and Mentorship  
  2. Health and well-being  
  3. Financial assistance, work or education  
  4. Material or legal support  
  5. Recovery and mental health  
  6. Prenatal diagnosis  
  7. Care for children

Work Environment 

This position can be remote or headquartered in our Arlington, VA office.


Physical Demands 

The position requires the ability to sit for several hours a day, and to see, hear and have good eye-hand coordination for using your computer for data entry, sending emails and using a webphone.


Position Type/Expected Hours  

This position is a full-time position. Hours are typically 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Some weekend and evening work may be required.  


Travel 

This position will not usually require travel, but the Directory Recruiter should be willing to travel to Her PLAN events in their state.


Required Education/Experience 

  • Must have experience with deadlines and be able to manage the calendar.
  • Must be able to communicate well in written (email) and verbal (on the phone) forms and in person.
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Preferred Education/Experience 

Previous experience working in the pro-life movement is highly desired. 

Previous data entry, phone call management and general office experience is also desired.
