Description

In this role, the selected candidate will be instrumental in the design of Water and Wastewater systems.


This will incorporate production of the design of the civil aspects of water/wastewater design projects including piping, pump stations, pipelines, site layouts, and treatment process equipment.  This will require a familiarity with water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.


Responsibilities include preparing construction plans and documents for Water and Wastewater design projects, working with project standards, and assisting in preparation of quantity take-offs.


Responsibilities also include coordination between disciplines such as civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation.


Job Summary

The Designer II – Engineering role is responsible for independently performing the design throughout all phases of multiple simultaneous projects. Develops technical aspects throughout all phases of a project. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical detailing for selected projects. 
  • Assists with the production of technical drawings. 
  • Collaborates with engineers and teams to translate design concepts. 
  • Assists with site investigations and observations. 
  • Attends client meetings and communicates with clients. 
  • Assists with preparation of proposals, reports, and findings. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 
Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • Associates degree required. 
  • 3-5 years of experience? 

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Proficiency in computer software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D. 
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-design discipline team.
