Lead with precision. Drive performance. Keep operations moving.
About the Role
We are looking for a focused, analytical, and highly driven General Manager to lead daily operations at our FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, stays composed under pressure, and brings a direct, factual communication style to a team that depends on clarity and accuracy.
You will oversee production, compliance, workflow structure, and team performance—balancing fast decision-making with the need for disciplined, systematic processes required in a regulated repair station.
What You’ll Do
- Direct day-to-day shop operations with a strong emphasis on efficiency, structure, and timely execution.
- Manage project timelines, labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation with a methodical, detail-driven approach.
- Lead and develop technicians and support staff through straightforward, clear expectations and hands-on performance management.
- Track and analyze core operational metrics including:
- Productivity (billable vs. paid hours)
- On-time delivery
- Rework / quality escape rate
- Safety and compliance performance
- Identify operational gaps quickly and respond with decisive action—especially in shifting priorities or unexpected challenges.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams, providing direct and factual communication.
- Maintain strict adherence to FAA Part 145 requirements while reinforcing a structured, predictable workflow environment.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and resource efficiency with strong attention to detail.
Who Thrives in This Role
This position is best suited for someone who:
- Is naturally analytical and prefers decisions grounded in data and facts.
- Communicates in a direct, concise, straightforward manner.
- Can be approachable when needed but is comfortable working independently for long periods.
- Performs at their best when pressure is high, priorities shift, and fast reactions are required.
- Works with intensity and urgency—driving themselves and others toward results.
- Becomes restless with slow, repetitive environments and prefers continuous problem-solving and project movement.
- Still values a structured, orderly workflow where tasks and processes are methodical and predictable.
- Has strong mental stamina and can handle long hours, frequent interruptions, and constant operational demands.
