About the Role
Cafe Operations Specialists are responsible for creating a welcoming, warm, and inclusive environment, taking orders at the counter, and preparing food and drinks. They help keep the cafe clean, stocked, and running smoothly while ensuring guests have a great experience.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and welcome guests with friendly, welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service
- Follow health, safety, and food handling guidelines
- Prepare beverages and food including coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, etc.
- Take orders and operate point of sale system
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe including dishes, tables, counters, and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while staying attentive to detail
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- MAST Permit required within 60 days of employment
- Food Handlers Permit required within 14 days of employment
- Ability to follow procedures and work both independently and as part of a team
- Excitement about working in a climbing, fitness, and community environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous barista and food preparation experience
- Previous customer service experience
