We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day management of our retail tire and automotive repair store. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in both customer-facing and technical environments, and who is passionate about developing people, improving operations, and driving business growth.


This role is approximately 50% customer counter / sales support and 50% shop technician or mechanical support, requiring strong communication skills with a sales mindset,  and technical knowledge.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support store leadership in all facets of daily operations, including sales, service, scheduling, and workflow
     
  • Build strong relationships with customers, team members, and vendors to ensure exceptional service
     
  • Assist with inventory control, payroll oversight, and cost management
     
  • Lead by example in the shop and at the counter, ensuring quality workmanship and service accuracy
     
  • Help train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and engagement
     
  • Execute company standard operating procedures consistently and accurately
     
  • Prioritize and delegate work effectively to meet business and customer needs
     
  • Contribute to achieving growth goals through strong operational execution and customer satisfaction

Requirements

Experience needed...

  • Minimum 3 years automotive shop or retail service experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. 
  • Minimum of 3 years strong sales experience is REQUIRED. 
  • Must enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced goal-driven environment.
  • Must possess the ability to use computers/POS system, communicate effectively and establish lasting customer relationships, plan and prioritize work efficiently while upholding excellent quality standards.
  • Techniques to manage and balance store and shop productivity with cost and sales trends


Salary Description
up to $25.00 per hour, DOE, plus bonus
