Dynamic Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation Clinic treating post-surgical and musculoskeletal conditions with an experienced team of PTs, PTAs and OT/Hand Therapists. Opportunity for new PTs to enhance their skills with experienced PTs and for seasoned PTs to mentor newer Therapists and/or serve as Clinical Instructors for PT Students in rotation. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assesses patients and develops treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other clinicians.
- Compile rehabilitation strategies to involve specific exercises to stretch and strengthen muscles as well as to improve posture, balance and endurance.
- Document progress, re-evaluate physical findings and modify treatment strategies as appropriate.
- Work as a team with a variety of other professionals, including physicians to set a goal of reaching maximal patient functional independence.
- Assists in restoring, maintaining, and promoting overall fitness and health.
- Tests and measures patients’ strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function.
- Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart.
- Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for re-evaluation.
- Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to help relieve pain, increase patient strength, or decrease or prevent deformity or crippling.
- Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
- Test and measure patient’s strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, or respiratory or circulatory efficiency and record data.
- May use electrical stimulation, hot packs, cold compresses, ultrasound, and other PT interventions to relieve pain and reduce swelling.
- Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
- Teaches patients how to use assistive and adaptive devices such as crutches, prostheses, and wheelchairs.
- Provide educational information about physical therapy or physical therapists, injury prevention, ergonomics, or ways to promote health.
- Evaluate, fit or adjust prosthetic or orthotic devices or recommend modification to orthotist.
- Supervise tech or physical therapy assistants that may be assisting.
- May be required to attend monthly/annual staff or facility meetings.

Education: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from accredited program; successful completion of clinical internship. Master's degree in physical therapy preferred.
Experience: New Grads and Experienced welcome.
Other Requirements: Current state physical therapist license. Current CPR certificate. Any required CEU’s for license renewal
