Description

 

At DOXA, the Internship role is crafted to offer interns a solid foundation of knowledge in a real-world, practical setting while allowing them to apply their theoretical skills. In this role, interns will support the team by managing administrative tasks, contributing to active projects, providing input during meetings, conducting research, compiling data, and reporting on their findings.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and apply understanding of the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of DOXA business.
  • Participate in ongoing projects, offering assistance and contributing ideas to drive success.
  • Conduct research, gather data, and assist in analyzing findings to support decision-making processes.
  • Accepts designated, business-focused tasks to manage, propose ideas and solutions.
  • Engages with peers and clients in a professional manner when applicable to provide service and/or support.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving performance, efficiency, and internal processes.

DOXA Pathways Internship Focus Areas


Accounting: Accounting Clerk

Basic Tasks: As an Accounting Clerk, you will assist with various accounting tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.


Finance: FP&A Intern

Basic Tasks: As an FP&A intern you will assist with various tasks to support and partner with our Business Units and Corporate functional teams. This will include data gathering, validation and analysis, monthly / quarterly financial reporting and analysis, forecast vs. actuals analysis, financial modeling, and ad hoc project work. You will work closely with our finance and accounting teams, along with finance leadership, to review and report on financial statements, provide business and financial trend analysis, analyze key performance indicators, and help develop financial messaging to business partners. 


 

Technology: Data Engineering Intern

Basic Tasks: As a Data Engineering Intern, you will support the development and maintenance of DOXA’s data infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include writing and maintaining SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), assisting in the design and buildout of data lakes, and helping ensure data is accurate, accessible, and well-documented. You will work closely with Data Architecture, Analytics, and other business stakeholders to understand data requirements, support data modeling efforts, and troubleshoot data issues. This role provides hands-on experience with foundational data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and enterprise data platforms while contributing to reliable, scalable data solutions across the organization.


Product Development:  Associate Product Manager

Basic Tasks: The Associate Product Manager assists in sourcing underwriting talent by leveraging LinkedIn, researching industry trends, and analyzing competitors’ product lines and launches. They monitor the activities of MGAs and programs in other markets, collaborate with marketing to develop content aimed at engaging potential underwriting talent and identifying opportunities, and work closely with M&A to explore new growth segments for DOXA. Additionally, they create Opportunity Summaries and may also contribute to CRM cleanup efforts.


Sales: Insurance Sales Coordinator 

Basic Tasks: As an Insurance Sales Coordinator, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to the fast-paced world of sales. You will work closely with our sales team, assisting in various stages of the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, and client outreach. Your role will involve supporting the team with research, data entry, and customer relationship management (CRM) tasks, as well as helping to prepare sales presentations and reports. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to develop your communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, while contributing to the achievement of sales targets and goals.


Underwriting: Data Analyst/Actuarial Analyst 

Basic Tasks: As an Underwriting Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing various insurance applications, learning how DOXA determines risk and risk tolerance, learning how to set pricing, and assisting in drafting and finalizing policy contracts. Your daily responsibilities will encompass validating the accuracy of application data, conducting comprehensive risk analysis, and collaborating with our underwriting and sales team to create effective insurance policies. 


Management: Project Coordinator

Basic tasks: As a Project Coordinator, you will assist Project Managers on project delivery by scheduling/facilitating meetings, communicating with key stakeholders across all functional areas of the organization, creating reports for executives, leveraging Monday.com to build dashboards, shadowing key strategic initiatives across the enterprise, and helping to draft processes/templates for the Project Management Office.  By the end of the internship, you will have enough experience to earn your Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM certification) through the globally recognized Project Management Institute (PMI.) This certification will differentiate you from your peers by proving your expertise in leading teams to deliver key strategic objectives for an organization.


Requirements

 Intern Qualifications / Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED, and 18+ years of age.
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant academic program.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • In Junior or Senior year of college graduate program
  • Participation in a degree program related to role applied for preferred

 Work Hours & Benefits: 

  • Time Period: 12 weeks, May-August 2026
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, Full Time 40 hours, Temporary Status. Specific hours will be subject to departmental needs. 
  • Location: Hybrid, with 3-4 days in-office at DOXA Headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. 
  • Pay: $20.00 an hour
  • Holidays: July 4th, closed and paid
