Description

 We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urology team. In this role, you will work closely with the Urologist and care team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. You’ll play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients with a variety of urologic conditions while contributing to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. 

 Key Responsibilities

· Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations

· Assist in diagnosing and treating urologic conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and prostate disorders

· Perform or assist with urologic procedures, including cystoscopies, catheter placements/replacements, bladder scans, and urodynamic studies

· Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up

· Document patient care through progress notes, orders, and prescriptions in the electronic medical record (EMR)

· Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans

· Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and ongoing care

· Respond to patient inquiries and manage follow-up communications, including secure messaging platforms

· Participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives

· Ensure compliance with hospital policies and all applicable state, federal, and CMS regulations

· Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy standards

· Demonstrate commitment to the organization’s mission, vision, and service excellence standards

· Stay informed through meetings, communications, and policy updates

· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

     

Qualifications

· Current State of Maine Physician Assistant license

· Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

· Active and valid DEA license

· Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

· Commitment to teamwork and delivering compassionate patient care

· Willing to train strong candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ practical experience

Compensation

· Base Salary $175,000 annually

· Sign on Bonus eligible $25,000

· Medical Loan reimbursement

· Relocation reimbursement
