THE ROLE
Chetola Resort is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This individual will help maintain our resort facilities, with a primary focus on our condominium residences and support for our main Lodge rooms. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional with a service mindset and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Operational Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance duties across the resort including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs
- Respond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requests
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, lighting, and appliance issues
- Complete daily inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs
- Monitor and report any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions
- Assist with snow removal, groundskeeping, and seasonal projects as needed
- Support preventive maintenance schedules and accurate record-keeping
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Desk, and other departments for timely issue resolution
Shift & Team Support
- Work independently, while staying in close communication with team leads
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment and equipment
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and guest service in all tasks
- Provide backup support for other shifts or emergency coverage as needed

REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a general maintenance role required
- Resort or hospitality experience a plus
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems preferred
- Availability to work some weekends and holidays preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in a physically active environment
- Valid driver’s license required
