MedRVA Healthcare is seeking a creative, organized, energetic, and proactive Marketing & Communications Coordinator with a passion for storytelling and dynamic digital content creation to support the growing MedRVA Healthcare marketing team in Richmond, VA. This role is ideal for a polished self-starter and go-getter who enjoys execution, takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to bring the MedRVA Healthcare brand to life through video, photography, social media, employee communications, and community engagement.


The Coordinator will partner with the Marketing Manager in developing and managing content across multiple channels while ensuring alignment with the MedRVA Healthcare voice, tone, and visual brand standards. MedRVA Healthcare is looking for someone who is collaborative, adaptable, detail-oriented, comfortable interacting with employees, physicians, leaders, patients, and community partners, and willing to roll up their sleeves to support the Marketing Manager and organization wherever needed.  This is an in-person job in Richmond, Virginia.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  

  • Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content for MedRVA Healthcare social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, while maintaining brand consistency and audience engagement.
  • Create and edit dynamic video content for social media, employee communications, events, and promotional campaigns.
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content at organizational events, community initiatives, employee activities, and healthcare settings to support storytelling and brand engagement.
  • Manage and monitor the MedRVA Healthcare Marketing & Communications help desk ticketing system, ensuring requests are organized, prioritized, tracked, and completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop short-form video content optimized for platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, and other digital channels.
  • Write, edit, and curate content for employee communications, including newsletters, announcements, and internal engagement initiatives.
  • Represent MedRVA Healthcare professionally while interacting with physicians, leadership, employees, patients, vendors, and community partners.
  • Support marketing campaigns, community outreach efforts, events, Foundation initiatives, and organizational communications across digital and print channels.
  • Monitor social media activity and marketing performance metrics; provide insights, recommendations, and creative ideas for continued growth and improvement.
  • Maintain organized project files, timelines, and communication across multiple ongoing initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaborate with departments across MedRVA Healthcare to gather information, support communication needs, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Contribute creative ideas, identify opportunities for improvement, and proactively support the overall goals of the MedRVA Healthcare Marketing & Communications Department.
  • Support administrative tasks, event preparation, and special projects as assigned.


Desired Skills and Experience: 

  

  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and a willingness to take ownership of projects from concept through execution.
  • Outgoing, professional, and comfortable interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization and within the community.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift throughout the day.
  • Experience creating engaging short-form video content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Microsoft OneDrive, social media platforms, and video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Strong creative eye for visual storytelling, composition, pacing, and brand-consistent content creation.
  • Comfortable capturing content independently in active healthcare and event environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset and positive attitude.
  • Photography, video, or graphic design experience preferred.
  • Portfolio required demonstrating strong creative and visual storytelling abilities across social media, video, photography, branding, and digital content creation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or professional experience in marketing, communications, healthcare, nonprofit, or agency environments is    strongly preferred.
