About Compotech Inc.
Compotech’s Digital Solutions Team builds mission-grade software, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning solutions for national security and critical industries. We partner with DoD stakeholders and Industry to deliver operational outcomes fast.
Role Overview
You will run the day-to-day productivity and delivery of all software products and programs under our Digital Solutions umbrella. Think portfolio operations + delivery management: align roadmaps, unblock teams, enforce quality/security bars, and ship on schedule. You’ll coordinate resources, engineers, procurement, ML/AI, DevOps, QA, and vendor partners. On time, on budget, at the quality we require.
What You’ll Do
- Own Delivery Cadence: Drive release trains, sprint rhythm, and milestone health across multiple products/programs.
- Throughput & Quality: Track and manage cycle time, throughput, defect escape rate, reliability (SLO/uptime), and change failure rate; lead root-cause and corrective actions.
- Portfolio Planning: Translate OKRs and customer commitments into executable roadmaps; manage cross-team dependencies and critical paths.
- Resourcing: Forecast resource capacity, balance workloads, coordinate with sub-contractors, and coordinate procurement and purchasing; oversee onboarding and access.
- Process & Tooling: Standardize product development, SDLC/DevSecOps practices (backlog hygiene, gating, CI/CD, SBOMs); administer project pipeline management over top of DevOps and provide high clarity and timely reporting.
- Risk & Compliance: Surface delivery risks early; coordinate mitigations. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and data-handling standards (e.g., CMMC, RMF/ATO, NIST 800-171/53 controls when applicable).
- Stakeholder Comms: Run weekly resource management synchs, project specific reviews; publish portfolio status (scope, schedule, budget, risks); maintain crisp interfaces with capture, product, engineering, and customers.
- Vendor & Partner Sync: Coordinate OEMs, integrators, and academic/industry partners; manage SOWs and deliverables.
- On-Prem Operations: Oversee lab/stack readiness (access, environments, assets), incident response, and change control for local deployments.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish playbooks, dashboards, and post-mortem loops to raise velocity and predictability.
What You Bring
- 7+ years in software delivery, program/portfolio ops, or engineering management across multiple concurrent products.
- Proven track record shipping highly engineered hardware, software and/or AI/ML systems (cloud/on-prem, data integration, MLOps, secure SDLC).
- Mastery of agile at scale (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD, environment management, and release governance.
- Strong metrics mindset (throughput, cycle time, DORA metrics, reliability) and executive-grade reporting.
- Tools: MS 365 suite, GitLab, Palantir Foundry, VS Studio, CI/CD platforms, observability (logs/metrics/traces).
- Excellent communication, facilitation and escalation skills; comfortable running daily stand-ups to exec readouts.
- Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering/IS or related; equivalent experience absolutely considered.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to DoD or regulated environments (GOV Cloud High, RMF/ATO, IL2–IL6, CUI).
- Experience coordinating AI/ML pipelines (data labeling, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring).
- ITIL/Lean/PMP/SAFe certifications or formal delivery training.
What We Offer
- Compensation: Competitive with industry standard + performance-based incentive.
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, parental leave, professional development budget.
- Environment: Modern on-prem lab, strong tooling, and autonomy to execute.
- Growth Opportunity: Advancement based on performance and potential—paths include Senior/Principal Delivery Lead, Portfolio Operations Manager/Director, or Strategic Programs Delivery leadership as impact scales.
