THE ROLE
Chetola Resort is seeking skilled and guest-focused Banquet Bartenders to join our dynamic Event Staff team. As a Banquet Bartender, you’ll be responsible for setting up, serving, and breaking down banquet bars during events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. You’ll create handcrafted cocktails, serve beverages with professionalism, and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless, memorable beverage experience. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Event Execution, Beverage Service & Guest Experience
- Set up and break down event spaces, including placement of tables, chairs, linens, signage, and banquet bars, ensuring proper stock of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and equipment.
- Greet and serve guests with professionalism, crafting cocktails and pouring beverages accurately and consistently.
- Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and resort policies.
- Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible service, refusing service when appropriate.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and sanitation during and after events.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, operate POS systems, and reconcile sales at the end of shifts.
- Partner with banquet servers, event coordinators, and fellow staff to deliver seamless event service.

REQUIREMENTS
- Previous bartending experience required; banquet or high-volume service experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to provide/obtain alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS).
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as moving cases, kegs, and bar equipment.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
