Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical distribution projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within the requested material standards. The PM will have expertise in managing small and large-scale electrical distribution systems, including substations, transformers, circuit breakers, cables, and lighting lines, along with all electrical commodities with a focus on coordination, client relations, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination
- Lead and manage electrical projects from quotation to job completion, ensuring successful execution and delivery within defined timelines, budget, and scope.
- Develop detailed project plans, including project scope, budget and schedule.
- Coordinate with operations, sales reps, designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Define project objectives, and deliverables, and track progress against those goals.
Resource Management
- Allocate resources effectively, managing both human (operations/sales) and material resources to meet project timelines.
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Procure gear, lighting and ALL commodities material based on contractors desired request.
Risk and Budget Management
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project scope, timelines, and budget are not compromised.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets and report on project progress, escalate issues as necessary to local management and contractor.
- Conduct project meetings, providing clear communication on project expectations, timelines, risks, and issues with sales and management teams.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular audits of stored materials for accuracy.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure the project is progressing according to plan.
Skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and build client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to work in various environments, including on-site at electrical distribution facilities, substations, or constructions sites.
- Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
- Ability to work in both office settings and field environments (with proper PPE).
