Description

 We are seeking dedicated and organized individuals with experience in human services to join our team as a House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our homes with adults with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities and Autism. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in staff supervision/management. Experience as certified Direct Support Professional is preferred but not required. Ability to provide care to ensure a high standard of living for the individuals we support while maintaining dignity and respect. This role requires excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.

 

Reports to:  Residential Coordinator 

Supervises:  Direct Support Professionals 

FLSA Status:  Salaried; Exempt 


Summary 


The House Manager supports the overall well-being of the program by fostering a safe, inclusive residential environment that empowers individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to build independence, meaningful relationships, and life skills. 


Essential Functions 

  • Advocates for assigned individuals, i.e., attend all meetings, and maintain relationships within the home and community. 
  • Implements and adheres to all policies and procedures of Hope Family Partners.? 
  • Develops individualized service plans in conjunction with the treatment team.? 
  • Maintains client’s records according to policy. 
  • Provides on-call and in-program support Monday 8 am through Friday 4 pm; as well as after-hours support during nights and weekends if needed.  
  • Supervises staff and directs their activities with individual served.  
  • Approves timecards and time off requests in Paylocity. 
  • Schedules staff to meet the needs of the program and ensures that shifts are covered.? 
  • Provide coaching and feedback and completes staff performance evaluations.? 
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Program Plans (IPP). 
  • Maintains accurate records including daily logs, individual files, reportable events, and any incident reports. This is to be done by the end of staff shifts 
  • Communicates regularly with leadership.  
  • Communicates regularly with clients served as well as case managers/parents/legal guardians to ensure continuing satisfaction with services.  
  • In collaboration with Human Resources, actively participates in the progressive disciplinary process for supervisees as needed.? 
  • Audits mileage reimbursement requests and shift documentation.? 
  • Provides training on clients supported and program activities.? 
  • Provides support of individuals served in the absence of a Direct Support Professional.? 
  • Coordinates all appointments for individuals served by providers and attends those appointments in the absence of a designee.  
  • Oversight of program functions, including MARS, Menu’s, Client Activities, Schedules and other program needs as necessary.? 
  • Provides minimum 5 days of weekly program support/oversight in each program assigned.? 
  • Keeps the home within state, federal and HCBS standards.?? 
  • Performs other duties assigned by Supervisor.?

Requirements

 Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to do standing/sedentary tasks for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to perform a range of motion tasks including but not limited to stretching, stooping and lifting. 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.  
  • Able to shovel and clear pathways.  

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Two years of related experience supporting people with disabilities. 
  • One year of related experience in management and/or training, preferred. 
  • Valid Maine Driver License, car registration and car insurance. 
  • Current certifications required: DSP/CDS, CRMA, FA/CPR and Behavior Management (we will train)
  • Vaccination records for Hepatitis B, Varicella, and MMR.  
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
