Bleuwave is a multi-trade construction and services company specializing in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, handyman, and general contracting. We are expanding our operations in Texas and are seeking a Licensed HVAC Operations Manager to oversee and grow our HVAC division. This role combines the responsible license-holder requirement with hands-on leadership and operational management of projects, people, and customers.


Position Summary


The Licensed HVAC Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all HVAC field and service operations while serving as the Responsible HVAC Contractor of Record with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). This role ensures compliance with state regulations, leads and mentors HVAC technicians, manages project and service execution, and supports business development efforts to grow the division.


Key Responsibilities

  • • Serve as the Responsible Licensed HVAC Contractor for the San Antonio Division, ensuring compliance with TDLR requirements.
  • • Oversee day-to-day HVAC operations including construction, retrofits, and service projects.
  • • Manage, mentor, and train HVAC supervisors, foremen, and technicians.
  • • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Texas codes, TDLR requirements, OSHA safety standards, and company policies.
  • • Work closely with project managers on planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • • Support estimating and bidding efforts by reviewing scopes of work and providing technical expertise.
  • • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing escalated issues and ensuring satisfaction.
  • • Track and manage project budgets, labor performance, and division financial goals.
  • • Implement standard operating procedures and workforce best practices.
  • • Conduct site visits to review quality, safety, and productivity.
  • • Partner with company leadership to develop growth strategies for the HVAC division.


Qualifications

  • • Active Texas Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Contractor License (Class A or Class B).
  • • 7+ years of HVAC industry experience, with at least 3 years in management or supervisory roles.
  • • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, service operations, and Texas mechanical codes.
  • • Proven leadership skills with ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • • Excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills.
  • • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of project/service software (ServiceTitan, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) is a plus.
  • • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
