JOB DESCRIPTION: The Director of Marketing leads the charge in developing and enhancing the company’s marketing and communication strategies. This position carries the following responsibilities including but not limited to*:
- Preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans
- Creating, maintaining, and managing campaigns
- Leading content creation and outreach for all channels (ie. social media/email/etc.)
- Directing and managing internal personnel on new projects (ie. graphic design/video production)
- Measuring analytics and quantifiable marketing efforts
- Reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
- Proposing and managing budgets
- Analyzing the market landscape and competitors
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Overseeing implementation of marketing strategies
- Providing tools and materials to sales team
- Conducting market research studies
- Utilizing data for marketing campaigns
- Facilitating communication between outside marketing agencies
- Determining process improvements, best practices, and developing new processes
- Working in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or better in Marketing (or equivalent)
- Experience in marketing and running a marketing team
- Proven track record with digital marketing including but not limited to social media marketing and content marketing
- Strong copywriting skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to interface with multiple departments, outside suppliers, & upper management
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
