Position Summary

The CDL Class A Block Truck / Flatbed Driver is responsible for safely transporting masonry products to job sites and customer locations using a block truck or flatbed. This is a first-shift position with local deliveries — home every day.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a block truck and/or flatbed truck to deliver concrete block, brick, pavers, and related materials.
  • Load and unload materials using proper equipment and secure products according to DOT and company standards.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and yard staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service at every delivery site.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and Nitterhouse safety policies.

Work Schedule

  • First shift (daytime hours).
  • Local deliveries only — no overnights.
  • Part-time or full-time positions available.

Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience required.
  • Current DOT medical card and clean driving record.
  • Experience with flatbed, boom, or block truck delivery preferred.
  • Moffet forklift experience desired.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 50–75 lbs.
  • Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to safety.
