Strategic B2B Partnership Manager

InflexionPoint is currently looking for a remote Strategic B2B Partnership Manager. The Strategic B2B Partnership Manager will drive pipeline growth and accelerate deal closures by cultivating and managing relationships with key engineering and construction management firms, as well as select technology partners. This role is instrumental in extending the sales team's reach, delivering value-engineered automation, Industry 4.0, and OT Networking solutions, as well as mitigating risks associated with complex greenfield and brownfield projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in this type of role, along with a deep understanding of market conditions in life sciences, food & beverage, and consumer packaged goods industries, and will use this experience and insight to align partnerships with organizational goals.  


This person will exemplify the grit and determination necessary to thrive in competitive markets, with the strong coaching, motivating, and planning skills characteristic of an extraordinary channel manager who creates new partnerships and deepens them by creating mutual value. They will have demonstrated success helping EDC partners land new clients and improve project outcomes for existing ones by extending data offerings while reducing risks in complex greenfield and brownfield projects.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to consistently meeting quota expectations, you’ll be responsible for:


Partner relationship management 

  • Develop and grow strong relationships with engineering and construction management firms to amplify the sales team’s efforts.
  • Establish collaborative methods to deliver innovative, value-engineered solutions and reduce risks in complex projects.    

Lead generation 

  • Identify and prospect new partnership opportunities within engineering, construction, and technology organizations. 
  • Generate and qualify leads through strategic engagements with partner organizations. 

Market research and analysis

  • Identify key personnel within partner organizations to assess market conditions for greenfield and brownfield project opportunities. 
  • Monitor and report on industry trends and market conditions to anticipate project acceleration or delays, enabling proactive business adjustments. 
  • Continuously refine our understanding of industry and market conditions, challenges and opportunities, and proposing approaches accordingly.

Networking

  • Mining events, industry groups and associations for industry influencers and opportunities to share IxP’s expertise through speaking and guest content contributions.

Technology partnerships 

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key technology platform suppliers to enhance solution offerings. 
  • Ensure alignment of technology partnerships with organizational strategy and market needs. 

Collaboration and sales enablement 

  • Work closely with sales team members on identified opportunities, providing support to move deals through the pipeline to closure. 
  • Share insights and resources with internal teams to enhance deal success and client satisfaction. 

Strategic planning and execution

  • Develop and implement strategic activities to grow the sales pipeline, including joint go-to-market initiatives with partners. 
  • Create and maintain frameworks for measuring the success of partnerships and their impact on revenue growth. 
Requirements

Education, Certifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partner management, preferably in engineering, construction management, or related industries. 
  • Proven ability to establish and manage high-value partnerships that drive business outcomes. 
  • Strong knowledge of greenfield and brownfield projects, particularly in life sciences, food & beverage, and consumer packaged goods sectors. 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and develop actionable insights. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a results-oriented approach. 


Compensation

We gladly pay well for superb performance. The Strategic Partner Manager role carries a base pay of $120K and uncapped performance-based upside. Reasonable OTE is $250K supplemented by generous benefits.


Working Environment 

Duties are performed in an office environment and workshop, but will also require travel to customer sites/locations to perform analysis, installation, training maintenance, etc. Must be willing to travel approximately 75%; must be willing to work in a variety of manufacturing facilities. Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment which includes, but is not limited to, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. 


Physical Demands 

Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged hours consistent with the average workday; to operate a computer and other office equipment, including but not limited to computer, printer, etc. Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders; must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl; must be able to move, transport, position, place, install, remove and/or replace various types of equipment; must be able to lift 50-70 lbs. unassisted.
