Role Summary
The Vice President, Warehouse Solutions is an executive leader responsible for setting the strategy, driving profitable growth, and ensuring operational excellence across the company’s warehousing and fulfillment solutions portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end design, commercialization, and performance of warehouse services, including network strategy, partner ecosystem development, client solutioning, and P&L management. The VP leads a cross-functional team spanning operations, partner management, solutions engineering, and analytics to deliver scalable, differentiated offerings with best-in-class service and financial outcomes. The ideal candidate is a seasoned operator and strategist who can translate market opportunity into a durable business model, while institutionalizing processes, systems, and governance to support sustainable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy, Growth, and P&L Ownership
· Define the multi-year strategy for Warehouse Solutions, including market segmentation, service architecture, pricing and margin frameworks, and geographic/network expansion priorities.
· Own the business unit’s P&L, including revenue growth, gross margin, SG&A efficiency, and capital allocation decisions.
· Establish annual operating plans and multi-year investment roadmaps aligned to corporate objectives.
· Develop and execute commercialization strategies in partnership with Sales, KAMs, Marketing, and Product, including packaging, positioning, and enablement. Build the business case for new offerings (e.g., eCommerce fulfillment, value-added services, compliance services) and lead cross-functional execution from pilot to scale.
Network Strategy and Partner Ecosystem Development
· Design and optimize the national warehouse network footprint to meet client service level, cost, and capacity objectives.
· Lead identification, due diligence, and negotiation of agreements with third-party warehouse providers; establish tiered partner programs, performance incentives, and compliance standards.
· Implement a robust partner governance model with QBRs, scorecards, corrective action plans, and capacity planning.
· Ensure redundancy, resilience, and flexibility of the network to support peak demand, seasonality, and risk mitigation.
Client Solutions and Enterprise Delivery
· Oversee solution design for strategic pursuits, including requirements discovery, throughput modeling, labor and space planning, technology enablement, and SLA/contract structuring.
· Serve as executive sponsor for key enterprise customers, ensuring seamless implementation, performance to SLA, and strategic account growth.
· Partner with Sales and Account Management to shape RFP responses, solution narratives, and executive presentations; provide executive oversight on pricing and terms to achieve target margins and risk-adjusted returns.
Organizational Leadership, Operational Excellence Technology Enablement
· Build and develop a high-performing leadership bench across operations, partner management, solutions engineering, and analytics. Define org design, role clarity, and performance management systems with clear accountability and incentives.
· Champion cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product/IT, and Marketing.
· Establish standardized processes, KPIs, and governance across warehouse operations, order management, inventory control, and issue resolution.
· Drive deployment and integration of enabling technologies (e.g., WMS, OMS, TMS, visibility tools, data lake/BI) to improve accuracy, speed, and cost-to-serve.
· Implement continuous improvement programs with a structured pipeline of initiatives tied to measurable outcomes.
· Provide transparent, data-driven reporting on financial and operational performance to executive leadership and the Board as required. Translate performance insights into strategic recommendations and investment decisions.
· Serve as a thought leader for the company on warehousing and fulfillment, representing the business in key client meetings, industry forums, and partner summits.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
· 12+ years of progressive leadership in warehousing, 3PL, or logistics operations, including multi-site or network-level responsibility; 5+ years in P&L ownership or general management.
· Proven track record building and scaling warehousing or fulfillment businesses with measurable financial and operational outcomes.
· Expertise in warehouse network design, partner/vendor strategy, solution engineering, and contract negotiation.
· Strong command of WMS/OMS/TMS ecosystems, data architecture/BI, and automation/robotics trends; demonstrated success deploying technology at scale.
· Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and present to C-level stakeholders and Boards.
· Advanced analytical and financial acumen, including pricing, margin management, forecasting, and capital planning.
· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

SCOPE OF ROLE
This role is focused on operational execution and client/partner management. Strategic business-building is expected in partnership with company leadership, including:
- Designing the overall warehousing business model (pricing, margin structure, and service design).
- Developing and negotiating contracts with new warehouse providers.
- Expanding the national warehouse partner network and strategic partnerships.
- Driving GTM strategy, marketing positioning, and broader commercial initiatives.
- Long-term P&L ownership and scaling strategy for the division.
