Child Focus is seeking an experienced Food Program Assistant to support the operation of our kitchen and food delivery services.  Help nourish the children who learn and grow at Child Focus!  Our Food Program Assistant is an important part of making sure children receive nutritious, safe, and delicious meals each day.  This role plays a vital part in Head Start, Early Head Start, and Child Care classrooms by preparing, assembling, and delivering meals to both onsite and offsite locations.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily kitchen operations and meal delivery.
  • Purchasing, maintaining, and keeping accurate records of food and supply inventory.
  • Assisting with meal planning and ensuring safe food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) licensing, health, standards and regulations.

Requirements

Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED.   

Additional Requirements:  Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and all required background and licensing requirements.  Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
