Gravity Haus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Task Force Front of House Manager to provide on-site leadership and operational support across our restaurants, bars, and event spaces at multiple Gravity Haus locations. This role ensures service excellence, smooth operations, and team continuity during times of transition, seasonal demand, or staffing gaps.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, adapts quickly to new teams and systems, and leads by example. This is a roving hospitality leadership role — supporting properties during openings, high-volume seasons, and special projects — while maintaining the consistency and quality that define the Gravity Haus experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide short- and mid-term operational support at Gravity Haus restaurants, bars, and outlets as assigned.
- Step in for on-site restaurant leadership to ensure smooth daily service and staff coverage during absences, openings, or high-volume periods.
- Oversee front-of-house operations including reservations, service standards, guest relations, and cash handling.
- Maintain brand consistency and uphold Gravity Haus standards across locations.
- Partner with the property’s Executive Chef and F&B leadership to deliver seamless front- and back-of-house collaboration.
- Train and mentor team members in hospitality best practices, service standards, and product knowledge.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new FOH team members as needed.
- Analyze and monitor labor and sales reports, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and profitability.
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and poise.
- Support special events, banquets, and seasonal activations, ensuring alignment with Gravity Haus brand and guest experience goals.
- Act as a cultural ambassador — inspiring teams to embody our values of adventure, hospitality, and sustainability.
- Communicate regularly with property leaders and corporate teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and accountability.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in restaurant, hotel, or resort front-of-house management.
- Experience with multi-unit or task force assignments strongly preferred.
- Proven success managing labor, budgets, and guest satisfaction in high-volume environments.
- Working knowledge of POS and restaurant management systems (e.g., Toast, 7Shifts, OpenTable).
- Strong wine, beverage, and service knowledge.
- A hands-on, service-driven leader who thrives in dynamic, ever-changing environments.
- Calm, organized, and confident when stepping into new operations and teams.Highly skilled in front-of-house operations, training, and guest experience.
- Adaptable and resourceful, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Financially astute with strong understanding of labor management, revenue, and cost controls.
- Emotionally intelligent and able to motivate, coach, and empower diverse teams.
- A natural collaborator who works seamlessly across departments and properties.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to travel up to 60–75% of the time to various Gravity Haus locations by car or plane.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
