- Design for performance and accuracy: Develop and maintain SQL databases for core financial systems, including transaction processing, compliance reporting, and real-time analytics.
- Engineer precision SQL code: Write stored procedures, views, and data transformations that ensure integrity across high-volume financial data.
- Keep it clean and compliant: Implement rigorous data validation, logging, and audit trails aligned with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot at scale: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in high-speed, event-driven environments where milliseconds matter.
- Architect the flow: Design and document table structures, relationships, and data pipelines supporting financial operations and APIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with product, engineering, and risk teams to translate complex business logic into rock-solid database solutions.
- Secure the system: Contribute to data governance, retention, and encryption strategies that uphold confidentiality and compliance.
- Continuously optimize: Tune queries, refine processes, and find smarter ways to move, store, and retrieve data efficiently.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SQL Server 2019+)
- 7+ years in database development—preferably in financial services, banking, or fintech environments
- Advanced performance tuning and query optimization skills
- Strong understanding of data integrity, transactional systems, and ACID principles
- Experience working with APIs, real-time data, and event-driven architectures
- A problem-solver’s mindset—you love getting into the data weeds and emerging with clarity
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable in a remote, agile fintech environment where speed and precision both matter
- Ability to work within CorServ's footprint (AL, FL, GA, IA, KY, NE, NC, TN, TX, WI, WY)
