The Translational Genomics Research Institute’s (TGen) Drug Discovery and Drug Development group, interested in the design, synthesis, and biological evaluation of novel chemical entities (NCE) for use in cancer research and treatment. As a staff scientist, you will be technically responsible for working on the synthetic organic chemistry projects involving medicinal chemistry optimization of novel compounds, chemical scaffolds, and or fragment to lead synthesis. This will entail the detailed reading of the literature, planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of multi-step reactions, presentation of results in group meetings, writing of grant proposals, publications, and lab supervision.
Ph.D. or related experience in synthetic organic and/or Medicinal Chemistry
