Copier & Printer Technician — Dallas, TX

Smart Office Automation is one of the fastest-growing office technology companies in Texas, and we’re expanding our Dallas Service Team. We’re looking for a motivated Copier & Printer Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and taking pride in getting equipment running smoothly.
This role blends hands-on technical work in our shop with direct interaction with our customers, giving you the best of both worlds. You’ll train with our experienced service team and grow into a trusted expert for our Dallas branch.
What You’ll Do
- Repair and maintain office copiers, desktop printers, and label printers
- Troubleshoot & resolve printing and connectivity issues (PC to printer)
- Work directly with customers—both in person and over the phone—to diagnose issues and provide excellent service
- Keep shop equipment, parts, and commonly used inventory organized and ready
- Open, manage, and close service tickets through our automated system
- Collaborate daily with your Dallas teammates and support leadership
- Represent Smart Office Automation with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude
What You Bring
- Great communication skills—written, verbal, and in customer-facing situations
- Strong organizational habits and follow-up
- Ability to problem-solve and think mechanically
- Experience using Excel and a willingness to learn new systems
- Basic networking/connection troubleshooting preferred
- Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus
- A positive attitude, professional appearance, and a team-first mindset

- Comfortable working in Excel and basic computer systems for documentation, tracking, and reporting
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once

- A natural problem-solver who can think critically and troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions while also knowing when to ask the right questions
- Solid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with a desire to keep learning and improving
- Strong understanding of networking and connectivity related to printers and copiers
- Consistently professional in appearance, attitude, and customer interaction — you represent the company every day
