Summary
The DEXA Technologist - Radiologic Technologist - performs bone density and radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician. Radiology Technologist candidates with minimal or no DEXA experience are welcome to apply. On-the-job training and cross-training opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Performs bone density and radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
- Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
- Maintains documentation of patient testing information
- Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
- Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area
- Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Candidates with minimal or no DEXA experience are welcome to apply. On-the-job training and cross-training opportunities are available.
- Previous Bone Density experience preferred.
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others.
- Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning.
Salary Description
30.00 - 36.00
