Sales Representative - Power Generation, Service & Controls (Northeast Territory)
Location: Remote – Northeast Region (Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland)
Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 per year + uncapped commission

Travel: as needed for clients

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve growth targets in the Northeast region. 
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within industrial, power generation, and marine sectors. 
  • Build lasting relationships with clients through consultative and solution-oriented selling. 
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring strong forecasting and revenue visibility. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and customized solutions. 
  • Stay current on market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities. 
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and key customer meetings. 
  • Consistently communicate updates and results to management and internal stakeholders.
     

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • 5+ years of technical outside sales or application engineering experience with a strong track record of prospecting, territory growth, and closing new business.
  • Experience in power generation, marine, industrial equipment, oil and gas, or related technical markets.  
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and execute in a dynamic environment. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for client visits
     

Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience selling into power generation and/or industrial markets.  
  • Background in controls, automation, or engineered systems
  • Familiarity with Woodward products or similar control technologies. 
  • Technical understanding of integrated systems and power solutions. 
  • Consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term customer success.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 per year + uncapped commission
