Business Development Director
Job Type
Full-time
Description

365 Retail Markets is the global leader in smart retail and foodservice technology, powering thousands of self-service and food-to-go locations across leading workplaces, universities, hospitals, hotels, hospitality venues and travel hubs.

We provide the technology behind modern micro-markets, vending and unattended foodservice combining hardware, software and payment solutions to deliver seamless, data-driven retail experiences. In the UK, 365 Retail Markets also includes Spoonfed (catering management) and Kafoodle (menu and allergen management), creating a connected ecosystem for operators and consumers.

As we expand our footprint across the UK and Europe, we’re seeking an exceptional Business Development Director to drive new business growth and help operators and enterprise clients modernise the way people buy, eat and drink on the go. This is a target-driven, individual contributor sales role for a proven new-business hunter who thrives on opening doors and closing deals. You’ll own the full sales cycle from first contact to contract and play a pivotal role in expanding 365 Retail Markets’ reach across the UK.

You’ll identify and secure new opportunities directly with enterprise clients and through key operator, vending and contract catering partners. There are no direct reports – just full ownership, pace and visibility. If you’re commercially sharp, naturally curious and motivated by seeing your work make a visible impact, this is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of a market-leading brand transforming the way food and retail meet technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Win new business. Deliver and exceed personal sales targets across the UK market through outbound prospecting and lead generation efforts.
  • Create your own momentum. Generate new opportunities through proactive outreach, partner mapping and targeted industry events.
  • Work across sectors. Build and convert opportunities within Business & Industry, Hospitality, Travel & Leisure, Education and Healthcare.
  • Sell solutions, not products. Connect client needs to the 365 ecosystem to deliver measurable value and impact.
  • Engage senior decision-makers. Build executive-level relationships across enterprise clients and operator networks to open doors for new logos.
  • Own the full sales journey. Prospect, pitch, negotiate and close - then collaborate internally to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Feed market insight back. Share intelligence on competitors, customers and trends to inform our UK go-to-market approach.
  • Represent 365. Be visible at key industry events and networking opportunities to build profile and pipeline.
Requirements
  • Proven new-business closer in B2B (OOH / Impulse / Away from Home, Vending or Hospitality tech ideal) with a strong track record of winning new logos.
  • Well-connected, with a respected network among contract caterers, workplace dining, FM and hospitality operators.
  • Confident with outbound prospecting and managing complex, multi-stakeholder accounts.
  • Skilled in consultative, solution-led selling, ideally across multi-site or multi-region operations.
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and accountable for driving your own activity and results.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator, able to engage confidently at senior level.
  • Commercial storyteller who can turn value and ROI into compelling propositions.
  • Passionate about innovation and technology transforming the future of food-to-go and smart retail.
