Description

Position Summary:

The Account Executive is responsible for supporting the production team and offering high-level client servicing both to the client and internally. Working with the (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor, the Account Executive will work with a caseload of clients to establish long-term relationships and client retention.  

This role strictly adheres to our Corporate Standards of Excellence and procedural guidelines spelled out in our Professional Procedure Manual.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Handle all facets of accounts as designated by the assigned (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor, fully communicate ALL/ANY potential issues to the assigned (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor and accept guidance/direction from assigned (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor as needed.
  2. Conduct current policy review with (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor.
  3. Assist in gathering prospective client information by meeting with the client, collect or manage information such as loss runs, prepare ACORD applications for market submission and answer questions from marketing team.
  4. Ensure ITVs are as accurate as possible.
  5. Prepare for and gather pre-renewal information by meeting with each client, collect or manage renewal information such as loss runs, prepare ACORD applications for market submission and answer questions from marketing team.
  6. Assists (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor with renewal premium negotiations with underwriter and obtains quotes via carrier portals or online submission platforms if appropriate.
  7. Sends Producer fact sheet to (Sr.) Commercial Risk Advisor.
  8. Uses Sagitta to create renewal application.
  9. Submits renewal to incumbent carrier.
  10. Maintains the diary system.
  11. Review quotes, assist with preparation and presentation of new and renewal proposals, quotes, and presentations (oral and written), follow up letters, etc.  
  12. Imports presented final proposal into ImageRight
  13. Issue binders & invoices.
  14. Completes policy checking on items returned from PATRA, responsible for review of contracts and certificates.
  15. May be required to attend client meetings, training, and conferences.  
  16. Initiate referrals to other departments as needed.
  17. Achieve trusted advisor status with clients and (Sr.) Account Managers.
  18. Respond to questions regarding policy checking discrepancies.
  19. Maintain contact with Carriers.
  20. Attend professional procedure meetings, general, client retention and Marketing meetings.
  21. Serve as back up to (Sr.) Account Managers when requested.
  22. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Fluency in MS Office products.
  2. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Strong knowledge of insurance coverage and terminology.
  4. Must be detail oriented and organized.
  5. Ability to multitask and operate in an ever-changing environment is critical.
  6. Ability to work well in a team environment.
  7. Ability to communicate clearly, to work well with others, and to manage time effectively.
  8. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and attend client-facing meetings, in-person or virtual.

Education and Experience:

  1. Proven record of servicing a book of business with at minimum $750K in revenue.
  2. Producer license is Mandatory.
  3. CIC, CPCU, AAI, or AIS designations preferred.
  4. Proven experience in account management.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in a relative field preferred, or equivalent in work experience.
  6. Willingness to continue education is essential.
