Position Overview
The Sr. Store Manager is the operational and cultural leader of a single high-performing Salty location. This role requires an experienced operator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume café environment and who brings the leadership maturity needed to elevate people, process, hospitality, and financial results.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations, ensuring that the store delivers consistent execution, exceptional quality, a welcoming atmosphere, and strong business performance. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends strategic oversight with an ability to jump in where needed, guide your team, and build a culture rooted in accountability, craft, and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Culture
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing FOH and BOH team.
• Build strong internal pipelines and succession plans through ongoing leadership development.
• Foster a collaborative, positive culture with clear communication and consistent coaching.
• Hold team members accountable for performance, professionalism, and brand standards.
• Champion our guest-first mentality and ensure hospitality is felt in every interaction.
Operational Excellence
• Own daily execution across quality, cleanliness, service, and brand presentation.
• Ensure team mastery of all products, recipes, beverage standards, and production systems.
• Maintain high standards across FOH and BOH, ensuring seamless coordination.
• Optimize schedules, labor efficiency, and inventory practices.
• Drive consistency in training, onboarding, and operational routines.
• Proactively identify issues and implement solutions that improve workflow and output.
Financial Performance
• Own full P&L management including sales, labor, COGS, and profitability.
• Review and communicate performance results, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, production planning, and waste management.
• Maintain purchasing controls and manage vendor relationships.
Administrative & Compliance
• Ensure all licenses, permits, and health certifications are current for the store.
• Oversee payroll accuracy, inventory compliance, and pricing integrity across all platforms.
• Maintain accountability and workflow through systems including Asana, Zenput, SharePoint, Toast, and Teams.
Guest Experience
• Uphold hospitality standards ensuring every guest receives a warm, memorable experience.
• Taste products regularly and review presentation to maintain quality and consistency.
• Lead by example, cultivating an environment where guests and team members feel valued.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
• 4+ years of experience in food & beverage management, preferably high-volume or specialty café.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong background in operations, training, labor management, and P&L ownership.
• Experience with both FOH and BOH systems preferred.
Skills & Strengths
