Activity Assistant


We are seeking a friendly and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team and help create engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents or clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by fostering social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being through a variety of activities.


Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and facilitate a diverse range of recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and abilities of participants

- Assist in the development of activity schedules and programs that promote engagement and enjoyment

- Provide support and encouragement to participants during activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment

- Collaborate with team members and family members to assess individual needs and preferences

- Maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good condition

- Document participation and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of activities and improve future programs


Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in recreational therapy or activity coordination is a plus

- Previous experience working with seniors, children, or individuals with special needs is preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude

- Ability to lift and move activity supplies and assist participants as needed
