Cash Management Sales Specialist
Description

The Cash Management Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and supporting Cash Management Services offered by Peoples Trust Company to both internal and external customers. This position identifies and acts upon sales opportunities for our cash management products. This requires working closely with the branches and the commercial lending team for site visits of current and potential PTC customers. The position also works closely with Deposit Operations to set up new customer accounts and resolve customer issues as they arise. The CM Sales Specialist portrays Peoples Trust Company in a professional manner at all times by exhibiting outstanding customer service skills, professional dress, and appropriate written/verbal oral communication.


Duties:

  • Recognizing and acting upon sales opportunities by making appropriate referrals, and participating in ongoing relationship building training.
  • In-depth knowledge of all Cash Management related products and services:
  • Repurchase agreements
  • Merchant Services
  • Remote Deposit Capture
  • Commercial Online Banking
  • Positive Pay
  • ACH Origination
  • Wire Origination
  • Commercial Accounts
  • Promote, sell and support all Peoples Trust Company Cash Management related products and services by
  • Assisting with Marketing and Training of these products and services
  • Working with Deposit Operations to support the customer using these products and services
  • Working with Commercial Lenders to meet with business customers and sell these products and services
  • Working with Branch Staff to identify and meet with business customers
  • Educating branch staff and other internal customers on these products and services
  • Provide assistance to resolve all complex operational and Commercial Customer related problems.
  • Review Peoples Trust Company Cash Management offerings and identify opportunities for needs-based product and service delivery.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge to insure that all Cash Management Services are at maximum quality. Be able to relay information
    and communicate objectively and effectively in order to provide excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to periodic branch manager meetings by presenting training materials or information on existing or new cash management
    products and services.
  • Complete Remote Deposit Capture installation process while assisting customers with scanner and platform. Perform walk-throughs of
    merchant services, commercial online banking, positive pay, ACH origination, and wire origination services.
  • Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act and all other laws and regulations that pertain to the job function.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.



Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Requires 3-5 years of banking experience preferably in cash management sales or support. Must possess strong sales and customer calling experience.
  • High level of analytical ability in order to evaluate and resolve complex Cash Management related and other Bank/Customer business problems.
  • Ability to work independently and work effectively as a team member.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with all levels of staff/management and customers. Training and teaching communication skills are a must.
  • Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize a fluctuating work load
  • Ability to visit customer’s place of business, and to attend training sessions and seminars.
  • Strong Personal Computer skills necessary with a good working knowledge of E-mail, word processing & spreadsheet applications, in addition to Cash Management Services.
  • Professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:

General Office/Bank Environment. Occasional overtime as workload and sales opportunities demand. May require frequent travel to business customers.
