RK Pharma Inc, a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company headquartered in NJ, is seeking an Facilities Engineer to work with our growing Manufacturing Team as we scale towards commercial manufacturing in the next upcoming months. As a company focused on the development, manufacturing and sale of high quality and affordable generic pharmaceutical products worldwide we are looking for sharp, driven, self-directed individuals to help us grow our mid-stage start-up team.
This position is located in East Windsor, NJ and is required to be onsite.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Facilities Engineering (Master’s or PE license preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in facilities or utilities engineering within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment.
- In-depth understanding of cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and EPA requirements for pharmaceutical operations.
- Proven experience managing HVAC, cleanroom systems, purified water (WFI/RO), compressed air, and steam utilities.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and calibration practices.
- Experience with automation and Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CMMS (e.g., SAP), and engineering documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-departmental communication skills.
The main expectations and responsibilities for this position are:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and qualification of facility systems supporting GMP manufacturing areas.
- Ensure all utilities (HVAC, WFI, compressed air, clean steam, etc.) perform within validated parameters and regulatory standards.
- Lead and coordinate facility-related projects, including equipment upgrades, expansions, and system improvements.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation in CMMS.
- Support engineering and validation activities for new installations and system modifications.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure facilities and utilities remain in a validated and compliant state.
- Respond to and resolve facility deviations, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and compliant manner.
- Drive energy efficiency, safety improvements, and continuous facility optimization initiatives.
