Position Summary:
The Ellucian Colleague Analyst & Administrator is a hybrid role that provides both functional and technical expertise for the Ellucian Colleague ERP system. This position serves as a critical bridge between business units and IT, ensuring system reliability, optimal performance, and alignment with institutional processes. Responsibilities include end-user support, system configuration, backend administration, upgrades, integration support, and front-end development of user-facing tools.
Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Requirements:
Functional Support & Analysis:
- Provide day-to-day functional support for Ellucian Colleague modules across institutional departments.
- Customize and maintain WebAdvisor and Colleague Self-Service platforms.
- Collaborate with users to gather requirements, streamline business processes, and improve system workflows.
- Support and document WebAPI customizations and functional configurations.
- Assist in configuring and testing Ethos integrations with internal and external systems.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and escalate technical concerns appropriately.
- Contribute to the creation and deployment of Ellucian Experience tiles in collaboration with technical teams.
- Report writing and report support
- Support and build integrations for third party applications
Technical Administration & Infrastructure:
- Manage backend operations, including software installations, upgrades, and maintenance across Colleague environments.
- Perform monthly database and file maintenance to ensure uptime and performance.
- Install and update Colleague components such as the User Interface, Payment Gateway, Self-Service, and Colleague API.
- Configure and optimize DMI (Datatel Messaging Interface) listeners and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Clone environments for development and testing and perform Unidata and Microsoft SQL upgrades.
- Manage infrastructure tasks such as LDAP configuration, listener and server certificate updates, and OS upgrades.
- Tune performance for systems such as Self-Service, Web UI, and Informer reporting tools.
- Provide technical support for Ellucian Colleague modules and related integrations.
- Develop and maintain Ellucian Experience tiles using React JS, CSS, and modern web technologies.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience supporting Ellucian Colleague in both functional and technical capacities.
- Proficiency in Unidata, Envision, Colleague Studio, and Colleague WebAPI.
- Working knowledge of WebAdvisor, Self-Service, and Ellucian Experience.
- Informer reporting tool experience is a plus.
- Experience with infrastructure and integration tools such as Ethos, DMI, LDAP, and SQL.
- Understanding of administrative processes in higher education.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into effective system solutions.
- Experience with front-end development (React JS, CSS) is preferred.
Education, Certifications and Licensures:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
