Description:

New Wave Design (NWD) is seeking a skilled and experienced regional sales leader to join our team, responsible for the Eastern Sales Region at New Wave Design. The ideal candidate will be a proven sales leader with a track record of success in the aerospace and defense market, developing and executing regional and account growth strategies. This position is responsible for developing customer technical design leads, qualification of sales opportunities through closure, building customer relationships, accurate forecasting, providing customer service, and account management in support of corporate strategic direction and goals. This position manages the sales functions within the eastern sales region, defining strategic pursuits, providing direction to Inside Sales, communicating internally on support required to maximize the probability of a win, defining and leading the execution of the capture strategy, signing channel partners, and other tasks related to achieving annual bookings targets within the region. The role is supported by other department heads and corporate leadership, both organically and upon request by the RSL, to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved.


Salary Range: $129,900.00-$198,100.00

Requirements
  • Identify, qualify, and manage business opportunities for NWD products and services with current and new accounts located in the States of California, Nevada and Arizona.
  • Expand presence within existing accounts by promoting NWD’s technical capabilities and identifying opportunities for additional business.
  • Manage sales and opportunity pipeline, including expected bookings, forecasted revenue, new design wins, the priority of engagements, probability of a win, key decision makers, and value proposition to the customer. 
  • In-person and remote communication directly to account contacts, including senior company leaders, program managers, supply chain managers, buyers, and technical leads.
  • Increase NWD sales regional bookings while maintaining satisfactory profit levels.
  • Recommend and implement an annual regional sales and account growth strategy to accomplish goals aligned with company objectives and strategy.
  • Participate in the strategic business planning and budgeting process, providing input on regional sales forecasts and opportunities.
  • Manage quoting activity to achieve profit objectives.
  • Manage multiple channel selling strategies, including direct, distribution, and manufacturer’s representative firms.
  • Develop customer relationships for long-term customer retention.
  • Develop and maintain industry and technical knowledge around NWD products and capabilities, as well as customer applications and use cases.
  • Ensure adherence to company sales policies and practices in all regional activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop regional marketing plans and initiatives that support sales objectives.
  • Manage regional sales expenses within approved budgets.
  • Consistently represent NWD in a professional manner with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Business Administration or equivalent trade school diploma with 7+ years of experience preferred. 
  • 10+ years of experience in a professional sales environment selling component or board-level products directly into system-level electronic companies. Technical knowledge of embedded computing and sensor data processing is a plus.
  • Education or experience in engineering, science, or technology is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel within the sales region, travel expected to be <50%.
  • Candidate is ideally located within the western region of the United States. Candidates outside of the region will be considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and opportunity prioritization skills. 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to forecast and plan over a one to two-year time span to set and meet long-term sales goals.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and other computer tools
  • Familiarity with CRM sales opportunity management programs such as Salesforce.

Physical Parameters:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds. 
  • Must have finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion
