New Wave Design (NWD) is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Leader-Eastern Region, the preferred candidate will be based in the US Eastern time zone, where they will be responsible for managing key accounts and expanding relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting business growth in alignment with NWD’s strategic objectives. Candidates located in the Central time zone will be considered. The Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, facilitating clear communication between clients and internal teams. This includes supporting ongoing programs, identifying new opportunities, coordinating technical discussions, and managing the complete sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification through delivery.
The Account Manager will work closely with Regional Sales Leaders, the National Account Leader, Inside Sales, and Engineering to ensure that customer needs are met while promoting NWD’s FPGA-based embedded computing systems, sensor processing solutions, and mission computing products.
Salary Range: $66,400.00-$113,500.00

- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring consistent communication and customer satisfaction.
- Manage day-to-day account activities, including order tracking, status updates, and coordination with internal departments.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities within existing accounts to drive revenue growth and expand NWD’s footprint. Accurately forecast bookings events and value.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through proactive engagement and responsive support.
- Support proposal development, quoting, and contract coordination in partnership with Sales and Program Management.
- Maintain a deep understanding of NWD’s product portfolio, capabilities, and competitive landscape.
- Coordinate technical meetings and discussions between customers and NWD engineering teams to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions.
- Monitor program and project status to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity data within the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Participate in customer visits, reviews, trade shows, and industry events as required.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in account management, technical sales, or customer relations within the Aerospace and Defense or high-technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of technical sales processes; familiarity with embedded computing systems or FPGA-based hardware preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships internally and externally.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to travel <50% for customer meetings or events.

- Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.
