Description

Position Objective: 

Support PETA's work with major corporations by conducting research, handling administrative tasks, contributing to writing projects, and traveling to secure victories for animals


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work with supervisor and PETA teams to communicate with companies to advocate for animals, including drafting persuasive, well-structured letters and supporting materials for corporate outreach projects

• Contribute to corporate outreach efforts by producing clear, accurate, and strategically tailored communications, ensuring all work reflects PETA’s standards and priorities

• Conduct research to support CR outreach to companies, including identifying contact information, analyzing animal welfare policies, and industry standards

• Represent PETA in meetings, to the public and media, and at events

• Travel to attend meetings and/or conferences

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience 

• Demonstrated ability to comfortably create and deliver presentations across teams and external stakeholders, and address and overcome objections

• Demonstrated interest in animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Proven exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent writing abilities 

• Demonstrated effective research skills

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively

• Professional appearance 

• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization



  

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.02 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
