The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading all aspects of estimating including execution of project strategy, preconstruction, competitive bids, negotiated project proposals, budgets, value engineering, and subcontractor relations from initial budget request through awards. The Senior Estimator must demonstrate experience and competency in accurate conceptual budgeting with limited information provided or oversight. The Senior Estimator reports directly to the Vice President/Estimating, James Thomson.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaboration with the project team in set up of projects to insure profitability, client satisfaction and the best subcontractors for the project

· Participation in the project development & execution of the project strategy

· Drawing and document review including identifying critical details that may impact the project; reconcile drawing revisions; identify complete list of trades required to execute the project

· Project preparation including project strategy meetings, site investigation visits, create invitations to bid and ensuring appropriate subcontractor coverage

· Participation in the subcontractor award process to assure profitability and execution of project financial strategy

· Ability to create conceptual/ schematic design/ design development estimates

· Prepare final pricing and construction document estimates

· Develop client’s’ confidence in CM&B, demonstrating leadership in proposal/budget presentations 

• Bachelor’s degree in related field

• 10+ years of estimating experience in general construction industry

• Organized and goal oriented

• Confident, articulate, and professional with a thoughtful approach to communication

• Precise, analytical, a driven self-starter.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Onscreen with preferred experience in10,000 Ft & Building Connected
