Description

The Regional Sales Manager is an exciting opportunity to lead a sales team and plan strategies, while continuing to sell and deliver new products to Ferno customers. This position will cover the following regions: SD/NE/IA, KS/MO/AR, IL/TN, ND/MN/WI, IN/KY, MS/AL. The Sales Team is a dynamic group and each Regional Sales Manager has the ability to own their territory and drive creativity and success with the Team they manage. This is also a working manager position which allows the RSM to be out in the field and stay connected with the product and customer! 

                


Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing a regional sales team which includes meeting sales quotas, ensuring team members are supported and have the tools required to be successful.
  • Responsibility includes the sale of Emergency Response Service products throughout the RSM’s original territory, meeting individual and team sales quota numbers.
  • Ability to turn in required reports on time.
  • Plan strategies with regional sales team members to achieve sales and profit objectives.
  • Review, evaluate, and assess our largest and most critical customer requirements.  
  • Manage and develop key customer relationships.
  • Responsible for cultivating relationships with customers within the assigned sales region.
  • Coordinate sales effort with distributor networks.
  • This position is measured on the total revenue, growth, and profitability of the region’s team.

  • Ability to successfully lead a team remotely.
  • Top sales performer with a history of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Strategically develop and implement a sales plan to meet or exceed all sales goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales, account management, forecasting, marketing, and customer service.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time and territory management skills. The ability to support and manage several continuous activities, i.e. prospecting for business and managing travel and logistics over a large multi-state region.
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability to create and present persuasive proposals to various ERS customers.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge in training, product knowledge, medical technology, technical support, and customer application support.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of how various customers accomplish patient care and how they procure equipment needed to provide the best patient care and outcome.
  • Plan, develop, and implement long-range and short-range strategic sales plans and programs for new and existing products, including objectives, strategy, and pricing recommendations for key Ferno customers.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with other departments and disciplines, including marketing, customer support, sales administration and other sales departments to modify plans as appropriate to achieve objectives of Ferno-Washington.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies, tactics, activities, and sales results and propose corrective action as necessary to achieve approved objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication and personal contact with field sales professionals, professional organizations, and customers to keep abreast of market trends and evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing activities.
  • Identify and communicate information on market trends to help develop and recommend pricing, packaging changes, and product improvements.
  • Consult with our largest customers and prospective customers to help them make decisions. Responsible for meeting with executive and administrative staff to solicit and gain support at the highest levels in the customer organization.

Education and/or Experience    

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible capital equipment sales experience is required.                         

Communication Skills 

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.  
  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point               

Computer Skills

  • Ability to use various IT solutions including computers, tablets and smart phones.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Customer Resource Management software.

Mathematical Skills   

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.                

Quantitative Summary

  • Prepare sales forecasts for in-line products.  
  • Meet monthly and annual sales forecast and objectives.
  • Achieve budget/quota through the sale of new product placement, the growth of Ferno-Washington portfolio in current customers and the retention of current accounts. 
  • Design, develop, and implement account and territory business plans to maintain and grow business in new and existing Ferno-Washington accounts.
  • Ability to position Ferno-Washington as a business partner in providing medical solutions to the ERS industry.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with all levels of decision-makers in customer accounts.
  • Develop sales plans for the relevant market segment and maximize cost effectiveness of direct communication and marketing expenses with budget guidelines.
