Job Title: Forklift/Backup Shuttle Driver

Department: Shipping/Receiving

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly


2nd Shift

Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm

Overtime required based on production need.


$0.50 GUARANTEED RAISE AT 90 DAYS!


Summary Drives yard dog to position trailers and drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operates and maintains yard dog. 
  • Inspects and maintains dry box and refrigerant trailers. 
  • Moves trailers in and out of docks. 
  • Operates forklift to load and unload trailers. 
  • Places finished goods in appropriate rack locations (warehouse/cooler/freezer). 
  • Maintains dock areas. 
  • Fuels yard dog and refrigerant units.

CDL REQUIRED


Shuttle Driver (Class A CDL)

Drives yard dog to position trailers and drives propane powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. Inspects and maintains dry box and refrigerant trailers; moves trailers in and out of docks.

 

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 

 

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. 

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.

  • Repetitively climb up onto and descend from shuttle vehicle 
  • Talk and hear 
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus 


Salary Description
$21.00-$24.00/hour
