Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the company’s operational and strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries in the general ledger.
- Create and maintain balance sheet reconciliation files.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and prepaid expense schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits and financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 4–5 years in a corporate accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of AR/AP, month-end closing, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses.
- Proficiency in creating and posting journal entries and preparing reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Preference for candidates located in Eastern or Central Time Zones.
