Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, senior-level logistics and technical documentation professional to provide remote support to the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS) and broader Tomahawk Weapons System enterprise. This role requires a seasoned analyst with deep familiarity in Navy logistics, sustainment documentation, system configuration, and life-cycle management.
The ideal candidate has over a decade of hands-on experience supporting U.S. Navy weapons systems, shipboard systems, or combat-system logistics, and can independently manage complex documentation, analyze technical data, interface with engineering teams, and provide authoritative recommendations to Government and program stakeholders.
This is a remote role, but candidates must be available during Pacific Time hours (0800–1630) to support NSWC PHD and program stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation & Product Development
- Lead development, revision, and sustainment of logistics documentation including LCSPs, ULSSs, DCMPs, maintenance plans, and related products in accordance with DoD guidance.
- Conduct high-level technical reviews of logistics documents, validate accuracy, identify gaps, and integrate Government feedback.
- Ensure cross-document consistency across Tomahawk/TTWCS logistics products and support long-term sustainmentplanning.
Configuration & Data Management Oversight
- Oversee accuracy and sustainment of TTWCS/Tomahawk configuration data within TCED.
- Lead reconciliation of configuration data using serial-number check-sheets, extracts, and Government-provided sources.
- Support high-level Configuration Control (CC) and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) tasks, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
Supply, Fielding & Operational Logistics Coordination
- Provide senior-level interpretation and guidance for supply and operations logistics activities.
- Validate QA documentation, drive process improvements, and support remote coordination with on-site personnel.
- Serve as a senior participant in weekly ILS, engineering, and program meetings; help shape logistics strategy and provide authoritative recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, systems management, business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Navy logistics, weapons-system sustainment, combat system support, or related engineering/logistics fields.
- U.S. Navy background with experience in shipboard systems, strike warfare, weapons systems, or combat systems.
- Deep familiarity with Navy logistics processes, ILS elements, maintenance planning, and configuration management.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex documentation tasks and present informed recommendations to Government stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and advanced proficiency with technical writing, data analysis, and logistics documentation tools.
- Ability to work remotely but consistently during Pacific Time (8:00 am – 4:30 pm).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tomahawk, TTWCS, Aegis, SSDS, or other Navy combat/weapons systems.
- Experience with DoD logistics products (ULSS, LCSP, DCMP), provisioning (ICAPS, APL/AEL), and configuration systems (TCED, CDMD-OA).
- Prior experience supporting NSWC PHD programs.
- Familiarity with DMSMS/COTS management engineering change processes, and Navy sustainment planning.
- Strong Excel/data analysis capability (charts, metrics, modeling).
Additional Information
- Fully remote role with Pacific Time hours.
- Occasional travel may be required for program reviews, conferences, or coordination events.
- This position involves coordination with senior Government and engineering personnel and requires professional communication and analytical rigor.
Security Clearance:
Applicants may be required to have an active security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance as specified in the minimum qualifications.
