Description
SFI is responsible for providing full life-cycle software development and DevOps support for a federal agency.
Summary of Major Job Functions
SFI is seeking a Senior-Level Programmer/Analyst to support our Federal Government client. The Programmer/Analyst will play a key role on a collaborative team responsible for requirements collection and analysis, data modeling, software design, development, debugging, and the implementation and enhancement of new and existing software programs using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Gather and document software requirements from project teams, end users, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Lead analysis, data modeling, and the technical and functional design of software projects throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement interactive and batch software in Oracle PL/SQL.
- Write test cases and perform functional and integration testing during various phases of the product life cycle.
- Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
- Assist in evaluating and recommending application software packages, integration solutions, and testing tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and respond to requests for enhancements and improvements.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of programming and software development experience.
- 5+ years of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming experience.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team.
- Experience creating and modifying stored procedures, and programming using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Highly analytical, with strong critical and creative thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
- Experience with Linux shell programming.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Development experience using ORM tools such as Hibernate, and experience with Web Services, Spring, jQuery, and HTML5.
- Experience in innovative, Java-centric, scalable enterprise custom application development and delivery.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with API and batch application development and deployment.
- Experience developing software in a DevSecOps environment using GitLab.
Additional Information:
- Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

(Public Trust investigations typically take 4–8 weeks and require fingerprinting.) - Work Environment: Flexible/remote, with occasional on-site support as needed.
Salary Range: $130,000 – $175,000 annually
